Life through the eyes of a 4 year old

I have a budding photographer

While transferring photos, I realized “someone” used my camera. 175 pictures later I am glad that we live in the digital age and I didn’t spend $60 on developing useless pictures.

It is cute, though, to see the world through her eyes. Here is a sampling of her work.

By the way, her photography services are cheap (FREE) if you are interested.

Her foot

Her foot...typical

"Blankie"

Blankie - yes it is a pillowcase don't ask

marble raceway

Her marble raceway creation - understandably proud

self-portrait

Practicing for teenage phone self-portraits and making funny faces at the same time.

Sponge Bob

Spongebob Squarepants - her favorite show

hand

The obligatory hand shot

dog

The dog trying to sleep

And then this gem of a photo…my favorite…

oh my

Hmmmm.....

She denies taking my camera into the bathroom despite the fact there is photographic proof. I hate to tell her no one else in this house is small enough to have those cute toes.

I am off to figure out how to sanitize my camera

OMG! That is toooo funny! Thanks for sharing! She’s so cute! Maybe in a few years, she can be my assistant and hold a reflector for me!

Now that’s funny! But it looks like she’s got the eye; time for some training.

She just keeps sneaking in my room and taking the camera. I think I’m up to 3 sets of over 150 pictures. It is always a mystery what I’m going to find. There are a lot of shots of me working which I conveniently left out. ha ha She cracks me up daily!

BTW…Mitch’s Top 10 Disco favorites is a must…I finally stopped dancing in my chair..that blast to the disco past was GROOVY!

Seeing the last photo really made me laugh and smile! Your daughter is precious and cute! I suggest you show this article to her after a few more years and she’ll either laugh at it or freak out (“Please erase them, mom!”). Really glad we are in the digital age, or else you’d spend more than $60 developing pictures in the future that you did not take and neither did she (she still doesn’t admit she shot the last photo, right? :) ) You really have a budding photographer there!

Hahahaha! I was so not expecting that last photo! This cracked me up so much that my husband who’s sitting beside me had to ask me 3 times what was so funny before I finally showed him. And he had to laugh then too. ;)

  5. Too funny! Gotta love digital!!! One of my favorite things about when my kids were little was when they denied something “undeniable”. We had just had our living room painted and I walked in to find “Ari” written on the wall in crayon. Ari was the only one who could even spell her name, let alone vaguely make letters to resemble it. She tried like heck to convince me that she didn’t do it. I admire her creativity ;) I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to write! Hoping to fix that tonight!

LOL It really makes me laugh that they deny doing something despite the evidence. My middle child had a writing on the wall issue…and still does! It was always her name, too, and she denied it. When you can count out the baby who can’t write certain words and my son who doesn’t come out of his room long enough to do it, she can’t argue that she is the only possible culprit left.

Too funny Melinda. My niece took photos with her Dad’s good and expensive camera when she was about 3 years old!!
He decided he had to hide it and when she got a little older bought her a cheap child’s camera. She later progressed to more costly ones and of course now has her own very stylish digital camera. I get her to take any photos I want for my site and she came top in photography last term at college so maybe your daughter will follow her passion when she’s older.

Ugg…she finally broke the camera dropping it on the floor. Good thing it was old and falling apart and I have plans to get a new one..which I will not allow her to touch because it is new and all. ha ha

Hello Melinda my are we a woman of many blogs. So I had to check out this post because my daughter has a nintendo dsi which if you know has a camera built in and I have to go through it from time to time to see what she has been up to on the picture taking front. I love the last pic of her, that his hilarious and boy is she busted. I do hope she doesn’t become one of those teens(like mine) and spend most of her disk space with bathroom mirror shots. lol

My 2 younger kids would love to have their own camera. I said, me too! :D My phone camera is no longer working good but most of the takes were by them…of themselves :D The first time the computer had to be reformatted, the inside joke was, we can’t reformat because the precious pics will be gone! :D

That is the best photo of a television show that I have seen in a long time. She’s good. When she’s older she will really be ‘pissed’ when she finds that photo of her on the potty, here on your blog.
